Each residence works in balance against the other through carefully articulated volumes, materials and expanses of glazing.
The two double-storey townhouses feature a secure basement car park for three vehicles and a home theatre. On the ground floor above, spaces are anchored by a large, north-facing kitchen, living and dining area that opens up to the outdoor entertaining and pool area.
While these spaces are highly social, the planning for each townhouse also acknowledges the need for sanctuary in a home. First-floor bedrooms feature their own ensuites, with the master suite also offering a walk-in robe and streetscape views. Battened screens provide privacy.
Home by MM and Mancini Made responded to the natural levels of the site with a split-level approach to the ground level. In this way, the project exemplifies the approach each collaborator brings to architecture and construction: always guided by the qualities of the area and designed for the people who will soon call it home.
