DESIGN BUILT IN
It’s always an interesting challenge to create a contemporary building within a heritage overlay. In this case, a modern family home designed to sit comfortably alongside the renovated older style homes typical of Newport.

Achieved in part by adopting the peaked-roof structure of the period and incorporating traditional materials such as corrugated iron.
Another challenge was building around three established trees, which called for 77 piers drilled by a 20 tonne rig. Step inside however, and the house is unmistakably contemporary.
In our clients’ words “Everything is clean and sleek and it’s obvious the team has good attention to detail. The craftsmanship and finish are very high quality.”
At Mancini Made we consider the Paine Street project to be one the best family homes we’ve designed and built.
Our clients also commented on how the entire process was enjoyable and stress-free – and were clearly impressed with the outcome.
“The finished build is more amazing than we ever envisioned.”
