Curved geometry drives the design—from the sculptural staircase crowned by a circular skylight to arched windows and curved glazing throughout. The dual courtyard strategy maximizes north-facing light, with the primary courtyard and pool connecting kitchen and living zones, while a smaller courtyard offers sculptural landscape views.
Navigating Special Building Overlay requirements and flooding considerations while executing complex curved elements presented significant construction challenges. The result balances privacy with openness through carefully framed outlooks and sweeping forms that soften rectilinear constraints.
Charcoal vertical battens and soft grey brickwork with deep blade reveals define the exterior, while light internal surfaces are warmed by timber joinery.
