Delivered with uncompromising contemporary style and detailing. Built for a father and son, the design both references the style of the existing streetscape and uniquely contrasts with its neighbours.
A traditional pitched roof silhouette was adopted to reflect the gabled shapes that dominate the local Altona skyline – and to accommodate highly contemporary double-height sun-drenched indoor/outdoor living spaces.
Sunlight has also been turned into the primary energy provider, by incorporating passive design principles and photovoltaic solar systems.
Recycled red bricks with classic hit and miss detailing form a sculptural curved feature, while indigenous Australian spotted gum timbers and stark grey standing-seam colourbond wrap the building in contemporary fashion.
As the buildings took shape, our Instagram feed was inundated with enthusiastic compliments from passersby.
Our client also emphasizes the high standard of craftsmanship evident throughout, saying Mancini Made went “above and beyond”.
